The coastal town of Porto Cristo - in German the "Christushafen" - is located on the east coast of Mallorca in the Llevant region. Originally, Porto Cristo was the port of the town of Manacor, which was one of the most important commercial centers of the sunny island since the Middle Ages. Today, the coastal town is touristy, but there is nothing of the mass tourism in other island regions in and around Porto Cristo. The offer of the place is characterized by varied gastronomy, the weekly market day, various shopping opportunities, small cafes and of course the marina in which both excursion boats and private yachts such as those of Rafa Nadal are moored.
