The municipality of Icod de los Vinos is located in the northwest of Tenerife and covers an area of about 90 km2. It is also home to the Drago Milenario, the 1000-year-old dragon tree (Dracaena draco), which has been a national monument since 1917. On the coast there is the Playa de San Marcos and the lava tunnel Cueva del Viento.
