Almost everyone who has visited the largest Balearic island dreams of acquiring a Mallorcan property. The range of real estate on the popular Mediterranean island is wide – from luxury apartments, to spacious properties in the mountains, to designer beach villas, buyers will find everything their heart desires. The building quality of houses and flats is above average, meaning those who buy here do not have to worry that their property will be in need of renovation for many years. On Mallorca you will find residential properties that offer every imaginable luxury. A swimming pool is just as natural as a garage, as is a well-kept garden with automatic irrigation.

Due to a 2012 law change, it is possible to acquire properties on Mallorca to rent out to holidaymakers. Detached houses can now be more easily sublet to tourists. Foreigners who do not have permanent residence on the island are treated as tax resident property owners in Spain and therefore pay less tax on rental income than before the introduction of the new law. Properties with a maximum of two beds may be sublet. As the Balearic island is one of the most popular destinations in Europe, more and more people are thinking about buying Mallorcan properties.

Real Estate on Mallorca is always a worthwhile investment. Mallorca is a popular secondary residence, and the mild climate attracts old and young people to the island in droves. An apartment is easy to maintain and therefore ideally suited as a secondary residence. Spacious apartments with sea views are particularly popular with singles and families with one or two children. Wealthy business people prefer to spend most of their time on Mallorca and travel by plane to financial metropolises such as London and Frankfurt to attend meetings. Thanks to the modern international airport, it is possible to get a flight to major European cities at any time of the day or night.

Bungalows are particularly popular with older people. As there are no stairs to climb in this type of property, all rooms in the house are easily accessible. In areas such as Santa Maria del Calmi, Artá or Pollença there are exclusively equipped bungalows at amazingly low prices. These single-storey homes usually have spacious gardens, storerooms and independent garages with their own water and electricity supply. Many properties also have a swimming pool, a barbecue area and a large living room with an open fireplace. The rooms have high ceilings, and the visible ceiling beams made of high-quality wood convey a Mediterranean flair. Air conditioning and underfloor heating are standard fittings in bungalows on Mallorca.
